TANGERANG – Chancellor of the Muhammadiyah University of Tangerang (UM Tangerang), Dr. Ahmad Amarullah, M.Pd, received a visit from the Narathiwat State Education Office, Southern Thailand, in an effort to increase bilateral cooperation in the education sector. This visit aims to strengthen relations between the two institutions and expand collaboration opportunities in terms of research, academic exchanges and curriculum development.
In a warm and enthusiastic meeting, the Chancellor of UMT welcomed the efforts of the Narathiwat State Education Department to establish a closer partnership. He emphasized UMT’s commitment to supporting cross-border cooperation to improve the quality of education and human resource development in both countries.
On the other hand, the Director of the Narathiwat State Education Service, Mrs Supinya Wongnam, expressed her appreciation for UMT as a potential partner in fostering mutually beneficial collaboration. They also expressed a desire to explore deeper collaboration in academic programs and student exchange activities.
It is hoped that this visit will be a sustainable step that will bring positive benefits to both institutions, as well as make a real contribution in strengthening relations between Indonesia and Southern Thailand in the field of education.
For the record, according to Dr. Aidil Syah Putra as director of KUI UMT when interviewed after the meeting said that this kind of collaboration was not new, previously there had been close relations between Southern Thailand and UMT, especially in the development of private education. This visit is a further step in efforts to increase synergy and collaboration in the education sector between the two countries.
