Tangerang as a Hinterland of The Capital City Jakarta

Universitas Muhammadiyah Tangerang is located in the Tangerang city, Banten province which is directly adjacent to the capital city of Jakarta. As a hinterland area from the capital city of Indonesia, Tangerang city is also required to keep up with the rapid developments both in terms of infrastructure and human resources. Universitas Muhammadiyah Tangerang as one of the innovative regional supports in the triple helix concept is also progressively experiencing significant developments

 

Close to The Soekarno Hatta International Airport

Soekarno Hatta International Airport is the main gate that connects Indonesia with the International World. The location of the airport, which is still in the Tangerang city area, makes it one of its own advantages. The distance between the airport and the Universitas Muhammadiyah Tangerang is only about 15 km which can be reached by vehicles for approximately 30 minutes.

 

Banten Culture and Indigenous Society (Baduy)

Banten province where the Universitas Muhammadiyah Tangerang is located, apart from being a province directly adjacent to the Metropolitan Capital Region, is also an area that is still rich with one of the original cultures in Indonesia. The existence of the Baduy Tribe as one of the indigenous tribes who still apply a lifestyle that is in accordance with the original customs and is free from foreign influences. Universitas Muhammadiyah Tangerang routinely continues to carry out the Community Service Program (KKN) in Baduy. This was done in the context of “KKN Universitas Muhammadiyah Tangerang untuk Negeri” as a learning process and empowerment through education and teaching activities, research, and community service.

Banten Culture and Indigenous Society (Baduy)

DARMASISWA

Darmasiswa is a scholarship program offered to all foreign students from countries which have diplomatic relations with Indonesia to study Indonesian language (Bahasa Indonesia), art and culture in 54 universities in 2015. This program was established in 1974 as part of ASEAN initiative, admitting only students from ASEAN. However, in 1976 this program was extended further to other countries. To date, the number of countries participating in this program is more than 111 countries and organized by the Ministry of Education and Culture (MoEC), Republic of Indonesia.

IISMA Scholarship

IISMA is the Government of Indonesia scholarship scheme to fund Indonesian students for mobility program at top Universities overseas. Undergraduate students could spend one semester at the overseas university partner to study, to experience the host country's culture and undertake practical assignments to hone their skills.
