Vision

Globalizing education, research, and community service rooted in Islamic values and the Green Industry concept, to position the University of Muhammadiyah Tangerang (UMT) as a successful university with an international reputation by 2040.

Mission

  • Strengthening academic collaboration between UMT and international universities or institutions.
  • Facilitating inbound and outbound mobility of academic staff, and students through collaborative programs.
  • Promoting and supporting international research initiatives.
  • Fostering an international academic atmosphere within UMT.
  • Designing, implementing, and promoting campus internationalization policies.
  • Enhancing UMT’s visibility through media publications and international forums.

Objectives

  • Increase international participation by attracting more international students and staff to UMT.
  • Enhance student experience by enriching the academic and cultural journey of international and non-local students.
  • Expand exchange opportunities to strengthen the quality of education through student mobility, both inbound and outbound.
  • Support staff mobility by creating opportunities for academic and administrative staff to engage in international programs, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and capacity building.
  • Strengthen partnerships by managing existing collaborations and expanding international cooperation with leading academic and research institutions through active MoUs and partnership agreements aligned with UMT’s strategic goals.

Beasiswa Kemitraan Negara Berkembang, popularly known as KNB Scholarship, is a prestigious scholarship program offered by the government of Republic of Indonesia to selected applicants originating from developing countries. Managed by the Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Culture, the scholarship has been disbursed since 2008

IISMA Scholarship

IISMA is the Government of Indonesia scholarship scheme to fund Indonesian students for mobility program at top Universities overseas. Undergraduate students could spend one semester at the overseas university partner to study, to experience the host country's culture and undertake practical assignments to hone their skills.

IISMA Scholarship

DARMASISWA

Darmasiswa is a scholarship program offered to all foreign students from countries which have diplomatic relations with Indonesia to study Indonesian language (Bahasa Indonesia), art and culture in 54 universities in 2015. This program was established in 1974 as part of ASEAN initiative, admitting only students from ASEAN. However, in 1976 this program was extended further to other countries. To date, the number of countries participating in this program is more than 111 countries and organized by the Ministry of Education and Culture (MoEC), Republic of Indonesia.
