Volunteerism

Community service activities are one of the social responsibilities of Universitas Muhammadiyah Tangerang to the community. Community service activities carried out by the Universitas Muhammadiyah Tangerang can be independent, or through a network of Universitas Muhammadiyah that are spread nationally throughout Indonesia. There are also community service activities which are collaborations with several partners both at the national and international levels.


Student activity units

Universitas Muhammadiyah Tangerang has several student activity units that seek to develop students’ interests and talents outside the lecture process. The activity units are in various fields including several things such as sports and also scientific-based units such as student associations.

DARMASISWA

Darmasiswa is a scholarship program offered to all foreign students from countries which have diplomatic relations with Indonesia to study Indonesian language (Bahasa Indonesia), art and culture in 54 universities in 2015. This program was established in 1974 as part of ASEAN initiative, admitting only students from ASEAN. However, in 1976 this program was extended further to other countries. To date, the number of countries participating in this program is more than 111 countries and organized by the Ministry of Education and Culture (MoEC), Republic of Indonesia.

IISMA Scholarship

IISMA is the Government of Indonesia scholarship scheme to fund Indonesian students for mobility program at top Universities overseas. Undergraduate students could spend one semester at the overseas university partner to study, to experience the host country's culture and undertake practical assignments to hone their skills.

Beasiswa Kemitraan Negara Berkembang, popularly known as KNB Scholarship, is a prestigious scholarship program offered by the government of Republic of Indonesia to selected applicants originating from developing countries. Managed by the Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Culture, the scholarship has been disbursed since 2008
